We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Ping and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Taylor, what’s one piece of conventional advice that you disagree with?
“Sex sells”. I don’t have enough fingers or toes to count the number of times I have heard company clients, brand clients, and even entrepreneur clients tell me that sex sells and that that is the basis of their PR presence and appeal to the markets. When you look at our society in a full global view and not just societal, you open yourself up to bigger motivation- a bigger way of thinking. Products and services that impact the world and make a difference in a positive and inspiring way sell. Being authentic- publicizing your stance, what your brand stands for and how it is adding value to us as a society globally and internationally- is what is going to create a community of loyal clients and customers standing behind you.
You get real fulfillment when you provide a service or product that you know is making the world a better place. An idea that stems from the notion that this is going to make others happy in a way that brings people together and inspire and help them.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am the owner and CEO of a pr platform and media development company called Hierarchy Media. We service public figures, entrepreneurs, brands and corporate companies in crafting their exposure and presence authentically and strategically. I am most proud of the team I have working with me and their abilities to run the divisions we have added this past year. We have a Twitter Virality exposure division, Instagram Exposure Access division, national business publication division, Celebrity Giveaway growth division, and our in house full content production teams for photo and video.
Over everything though, the community I have developed was driven by the mission to create a platform for ambitious women. There were no all female run PR and media development platforms that encouraged and helped craft women who were looking for help to get them to the next level in business by crafting them authentically and showcasing their true individuality. We know have millions of likeminded entrepreneurs, fans, photographers, videographers, creative partners and brands that share the same level of encouragement, support, intelligence and motivation and the community Hierarchy has been exponentially growing into is something i am so proud of. We are making a real difference in the way women are viewed and respected, and we are bringing together the most amazing and talented individuals under one roof.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would go with the flow! Living in the moment, there are so many events and experiences still happening in the city its all about going with the flow and seeing what happens! I will say Korean BBQ is a must in Koreatown though!! Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Bryce Cleveland met me a few years into my journey in business as founder and CEO of Hierarchy Media. We started another business called Deadgal together which is an ecommerce business for press on nails. His continuous motivation and leadership in business has been a driving factor for the growth and dedication for me and my business. Watching how he pivots, the fulfillment he gets from providing the best products and services to his people in the beauty industry, and the overall commitment he has to his business Scalpa have all progressed my perception of business and helped push me to stop standing in the way of myself and grow my business in ways I was holding myself back from before.
